Kristaps Zakulis
FCMC Chairman
Kristaps Zakulis was born on 3 August 1973.
Zakulis holds a master degree in Economics from the University of Latvia (1991-1997) and studied law at the University of Latvia (1995 - 2001), as well as business management at the Anhalt University (Germany) as part of Student Exchange Program (1994).
From 1995 to 2000, worked in the Constitution Protection Bureau, from 2000 to 2008 headed Security Department of JSC Swedbank. From 2009 to 2012, headed security structures for the state-owned telecommunications company SIA Lattelecom.
On 12 January 2012, appointed as Chairman of the FCMC.
Jānis Brazovskis
Deputy Chairman, Member of the Board of the FCMC
Jānis Brazovskis was born on 14 July 1971. Studied at the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia (1989-1993).
From 1993 to 1995, worked as legal adviser at the Joint Stock Company Latvijas Investīciju banka. From 1995 to 1996, legal adviser of the Legal Department of the Bank of Latvia; from October 1996, Deputy Head of the Credit Institutions Supervision Department for legal and licensing issues.
Since 26 October 2000, Deputy Chairman of the FCMC.
Gvido Romeiko
Member of the Board of the FCMC
Gvido Romeiko was born on 13 May 1959. Studied at the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia (1973-1982).
From 1990 to 1991 worked as legal advisor at the Ministry of Finance; from 1991 to 1994, Head of the State Insurance Supervision Department of the Ministry of Finance. From 1994 to 1995, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Insurance Company Pirmais nacionālais pensiju fonds. From 1995, Head of the Insurance Supervision Inspectorate of the Ministry of Finance.
Since 1 July 2001, Member of the Board of the FCMC.
Ludmila Vojevoda
Member of the Board of the FCMC
Ludmila Vojevoda was born on 14 May 1962. Studied at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Latvia (1979-1984). Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants since 2003.
From 1985 to 1993, worked for the Institute of Economics, Latvian Academy of Sciences. From 1993 to 1995, supervision specialist at the Credit Institutions Supervision Department of the Bank of Latvia; from 1995, Head of the Banking Regulations and Analysis Division of the Credit Institutions Supervision Department.
Since 1 July 2001, Member of the Board of the FCMC.
Jeļena Ļebedeva
Member of the Board of the FCMC
Jeļena Ļebedeva was born on 10 March 1962. Studied at the Faculty of Finance and Trade, University of Latvia (1979-1984).
From 1984 to 1991 worked as senior and chief economist at Celtniecības banka. From 1992, a supervision specialist of the Credit Institutions Supervision Department of the Bank of Latvia; from 1995 – Head of Supervision Division of Credit Institutions Supervision Department. From 2001 has been working for the Financial and Capital Market Commission as Head of Banking and Securities Market Division and Deputy Director of Supervision Department.
Since 1 March 2012, Member of the Board of the FCMC.
