Accessibility Statement

The Financial and Capital Market Commission (hereinafter – the FCMC) in accordance with Cabinet Regulation No 445 of 14 July 2020, Procedures by which Institutions Place Information on the Internet (hereinafter – Regulation No 445), undertakes to make their website accessible.

This statement of accessibility refers to the website:

The website has undergone an assessment by the independent external auditing firm SIA Data Experts regarding compliance with the requirements referred to in paragraph 22 of Regulation No 445 using the relevant guidelines prepared by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of the Republic of Latvia “Guidelines for evaluating the impact of compliance with accessibility requirements for authorities’ websites and justifying disproportionate burden”.

How accessible is this website?

The FCMC’s website partly complies with Regulation No 445 for the following reasons.

Non-compliances with the requirements of Regulation No 445.

  • Non-accessible elements by the keyboard are inserted on the site pages.
  • Landmark elements with no unique names (within a page) have been used to organize the page code. Not all of the page content is inserted into landmark elements.
  • Pages contain elements whose visual focus is not perceptible.
  • Error messages are not accessible.
  • For images that are decorative or functional, no alternative text is specified or inappropriate text is specified.
  • Page content omits some subtitles, and some heading elements are used to format the text.
  • Page zoom (at 200% zooming-in) affects the accessibility of elements – the layout, overlap and the creation of horizontal bar.
  • And other non-conformities (see the site accessibility assessment protocol).

This website was last evaluated on 17.05.2021. The assessment was carried out by Ieva Lauga, IS security auditor (SIA Data Experts) and Mārtiņš Tarasovs, IT security consultant (SIA Data Experts).
